To build a volunteer-driven movement for cleaner streets and cleaner water. Sunridge’s program encourages community involvement at every level, proving that small acts — identifying, cleaning, and maintaining dumpsters — add up to lasting environmental impact.
Sunridge — Community Engagement & Volunteer Drive
Sunridge paired its sponsor program with a volunteer recruitment campaign to maximize community ownership. Citizens helped identify 28 problem sites; 18 were adopted through sponsor matches and volunteer-led maintenance. Results: 18 dumpsters secured • 560,000 gallons of runoff prevented/year • 6 sponsors + 120 volunteer hours logged • Project duration: 10 weeks. Impact: the volunteer program increased local awareness, produced social media traction, and generated follow-on sponsorships.
