Greenfield — Small Business Support Initiative
Greenfield launched a sponsorship drive aimed at supporting independent restaurants and grocers that couldn’t afford retrofits. Through matched-funding grants and two community sponsors, 16 small-business enclosures were upgraded. Results: 16 dumpsters secured • 320,000 gallons of runoff prevented/year • 2 community sponsors + 10 small businesses directly supported • Average out-of-pocket for businesses: $150 (after sponsorship). Impact: participating businesses reported fewer pest issues and improved customer perception.
